Cube KDE panel applet by Julien Marodon aka D.plomat

Features :
  • masterserver query every minute
  • 3 display configurations according to panel height: players, players+mode, multi-servers
  • popup menu with detailed information on active (all when no active) servers
Installation :
  • you need the libraries: qt-devel, kdelibs-devel, libstdc++-devel
  • tar -zxvf kcubeapplet-1.1.tar.gz ; cd kcubeapplet/
  • ./configure -prefix=/your_kde_directory --with-qt-dir=/your_qt_dir
(kde directory is /usr on RedHat/Mandrake, can be /opt/kde3, /usr/local...
qt directory is /usr/lib/qt3 on RedHat/Mandrake, /usr/share/qt3 on Debian...
if you're using Gentoo then you're lucky enough to just type ./configure here ;)
  • make
  • make install
  • Right-click on KDE panel, menu Panel -> Add -> Applet -> Cube
Known bugs/TODO :
  • about menu doesn't show up
  • make clicking on a menu entry start Cube on the selected server
  • make double-click on the applet start Cube on the most populated server
